We are looking for an experienced SeniorEstimator to join our Proposals and Sales team and play a key role in developing detailed bid cost estimates for our projects based in our Burton office.

Job Description
What the day might look like:
Develop detailed cost estimates for budget and firm price proposals.
Analyse project documentation (P&IDs, PFDs, specifications) to develop estimation scopes.
Collaborate with internal departments (Engineering, Projects, Operations) to gather labour and material estimates.
Issue RFQs, review vendor quotations, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
Conduct bid cost reviews, risk assessments, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Maintain supplier relationships and negotiate competitive pricing.
Participate in project kick-off meetings and track cost variances for future improvements.
Build and maintain cost databases for accurate future benchmarking.
Analyse project requirements through bid plan reviews and customer documentation.
Mentor junior estimators and support ongoing improvements in estimation practices.
What is Essential for Success:
Minimum of 10 years experience in estimation roles for projects involving primarily process and mechanical, and comfortable with values, pumps, vessels and structures.
An Engineering background.
Strong proficiency in reading engineering documentation (PFDs, P&IDs, Single Line Diagrams, etc)
Advanced skills in MS Excel, Word, and other relevant estimation tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Experience in the water treatment industry, particularly membrane technologies an advantage.
Exposure to detailed design and construction processes.
