The Project Engineer is a pivotal role within our project management delivery team, responsible for overseeing and managing various engineering aspects of assigned projects. From design inception to project handover, the Project Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring project success through effective planning, coordination, and problem-solving.

Job Description

What your day might look like

  • Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
  • Prepare detailed work plans and schedules for construction activities.
  • Review and interpret design drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Ensure manufacturing and construction activities comply with design specifications, codes, and standards.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams and subcontractors.
  • Implement quality control procedures and monitor work quality.
  • Monitor project budgets and track expenditures for cost control.
  • Facilitate problem-solving and decision-making processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of project reporting and client communication.
  • Contribute to project risk analysis and mitigation strategies.
  • Assist in procurement activities and subcontractor management.
  • Support commercial and contractual requirements.
  • Engage with fabrication management to ensure timely fabrication of equipment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and innovation.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor of Engineering (civil, chemical, electrical, or mechanical).
  • Minimum 2-3 years of project engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and construction practices, standards, and regulations.
  • Water treatment experience (desirable).
  • Working knowledge of PMBOK.
  • Project management skills with the ability to plan, organize, and coordinate activities.
  • Basic contract management and commercial acumen.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to safety and environmental practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
  • Current driver's license.
