Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Control Centre Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Control Centre Technician, this is an exciting and unique role where you will play a pivotal role in monitoring and controlling our national and international state-of-the-art water treatment facilities remotely from our central Control Centre based in Burton.

Our Control Centre operates 24/7 therefore you must be able to work a rostered shift pattern of day and night shifts, covering 12-hours per shift on a 4-on/4-off roster that operates as 2 day shifts, 2 night shifts and followed by 4 days off.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fault finding and root cause analysis of water treatment plant operations.
  • Regular checking and tuning to maintain quality and quantity KPIs.
  • Knowledge and confidence using SCADA technology.
  • Providing solutions to complex problems 24/7 with the ability to make informed timely decisions under pressure.
  • Providing remote support to Osmoflo Service Technicians and clients
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with on-site teams, engineers, and management effectively.
  • Interpreting and using engineering documents.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and a proactive approach to preventing accidents and incidents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential

  • Familiarity with SCADA systems and other control and monitoring technologies.
  • Medium to advanced computer skills using Microsoft Office suite.
  • Previous experience in a plant operation similar role within the water treatment, industrial, or process industries.

Desirable

  • Applicable engineering qualification.
  • Shift work and night shift experience.
  • Automation knowledge and skills.
