We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Project Engineer with a strong background in water treatment, wastewater treatment, water infrastructure, and fabrication.

About the role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing engineering and project activities across the full lifecycle — from project initiation, planning, and design to procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning. This role requires solid technical knowledge, practical project delivery experience, and strong coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors, along with being agile and highly motivated.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead engineering and execution activities on water and wastewater projects from concept through commissioning.
  • Develop project plans including scope, budget, schedule, and risk management strategies.
  • Prepare and lead quality control for fabrication work
  • Prepare and issue commercial letters, variations and project documentation.
  • Prepare and issue technical specifications and procurement packages for equipment and materials.
  • Oversee fabrication works (e.g., skids, tanks, pipework) and ensure quality and schedule compliance.
  • Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning activities on site, ensuring safety and quality requirements are met.
  • Track project progress and report on KPIs, costs, and timelines.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering (or related field).
  • Prior experience in water treatment, wastewater treatment, or water infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience (ideally five to eight years) delivering projects from end to end (initiation through commissioning).
  • Strong background in engineering design, drawing reviews, and technical documentation.
  • Strong project management capabilities, including scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and contract management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proven Experience working with vendors, subcontractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and environmental regulations.

Desirable Requirements:

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification.
  • Proficient in MS Project or Primavera, AutoCAD (or other design tools), and MS Office Suite.
  • Experience in desalination, advanced treatment technologies, or large-scale municipal infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with quality and HSE management systems.
